MUSTC 271 Advanced Electronic Music Production I Minimum Units: 3 Maximum Units: 3 Students gain advanced techniques in the creation of electronic music through advanced synthesis-patch and sample-patch design. Students learn to use these sounds through practical application within their own electronic musical compositions. Prerequisite Required: MUSTC 151 , MUSTC 152 , MUSTC 153 , MUSTC 154 , MUSTC 155 , and MUSTC 163 , each with a grade of P or 2.0 or better, or instructor permission. - Describe and use client-based approach to electronic music production.
- Identify and demonstrate the various techniques used for a broad range of electronic music projects.
- Describe and apply advanced synthesis/sampling techniques to the creation of electronic music projects.
- Apply digital signal processing to created sounds.
