MUSTC 151 Introduction to Music Technology

Course introduces students to electronic music technology and production using personal computers with DAW, synthesizers, samplers, DSP FX and electronic control devices. The history, transmission, and protocols of Audio and MIDI data are examined.

  • Describe the historical context and current development of digital audio and electronic music systems.

  • Identify and use vocabulary applicable to a broad range of music technology topics
