ABE 74 Academic and Professional Development in Healthcare Settings (NAC I-BEST) Minimum Units: 2 Maximum Units: 2 This is an Integrated Basic Education and Skill Training (I-BEST) course which supplements the Nursing Assistant Certified I-BEST (NAC 103 ) course. The course satisfies Washington State Board of Education’s requirements for competency in Basic Operations and Writing. This course focuses on important themes in professional development for healthcare settings with an emphasis on applying basic mathematical operations to document vital statistics, deciphering various forms of data representation, writing for professional purposes to attain employment (i.e. writing a resume and cover letter), and communication for a single purpose in healthcare settings on the job and to attain employment.
