ENGL 229W Gothic Literature Credits: 5 Students explore how Gothic literature challenges conventional views through horror, the irrational, & the supernatural & examines how this literature expresses political, social, and cultural fears. They also trace the genre’s transformations through three centuries of British & American literature and film. Student option grading.
