Program Description:
The Performance Associate in Applied Arts and Sciences degree is designed to prepare students for careers in music performance and related occupations. Shoreline Community College works closely with local advisory committees and industry professionals to ensure students receive the knowledge and skills currently in demand by employers in the field. Students interested in pursuing a four-year baccalaureate degree in Music should follow the Music AA-DTA transfer degree planning guide . AAAS Degree (90 Credits)

There are no prerequisites to start this program. To graduate with a degree, the general education requirements include successful completion of ENGL& 101 and MUSTC 106 . The prerequisite for ENGL& 101 is the completion of EAP 99 , ENGL 99 or equivalent with a 2.0 or better, or placement into ENGL& 101. The prerequisite for MUSTC 106 is the completion of MATH 98 (2.0 or better) or placement into MATH 99 or instructor permission. Core Curriculum - 17 Credits

Music Tech Requirements - 43 Credits
Applied Lessons Requirements - Minimum of 6 credits
*2 credits required, Instructor approval required for registration. Ensemble Performance Requirements - Minimum of 16 Credits
