ENGL& 101 English Composition I

Minimum Units: 5
Maximum Units: 5
Students write essays that display focus, organization, appropriate style, and technical control. They develop skills in critical thinking and close reading of texts and respond in writing and discussion to assigned topics.
Prerequisite Required: Completion of ENGL 99  or equivalent with a 2.0 or better, or placement into ENGL& 101, or instructor permission.

Grading Basis: Student option grading
