AC 110 Hardware Support Minimum Units: 5 Maximum Units: 5 This course provides students with an introductory overview of Information Technology(IT) concepts including: hardware, mobile devices, networks, virtualization and cloud computing, storage, and hardware and network troubleshooting skills. This course is for students who are just getting started in their IT education as it is designed to prepare students to take the CompTIA A+ certification test which will be the bridge to an IT career pathway.
Prerequisite: No prior IT experience is needed, but students should have a basic understanding of computers. You should be familiar with how to use a mouse and keyboard, how to install and run programs on one or more operating systems, how to save files, and how to browse the internet.
