ABE 44 HS+ Current World History/WA State History Minimum Units: 1 Maximum Units: 5 This is a survey course which satisfies the Washington State Board of Education’s requirements for competency in CWP, Washington State History, Washington State Civics, and English. This course focuses on important social and political themes in Washington State History. Students will use primary sources to analyze and evaluate social and political history in Washington State. Students will develop academic literacy including evaluation of content and points of view, and analyzing text. Students will use academic conventions in writing in areas of summarizing, paraphrasing, formatting, cohesion, rhetoric, and composition.
