MUSC& 243 Second-Year Music Theory

Late 19th and 20th-century harmonic practice including, chromatic sequence, modes and synthetic scales, serialism and polytonality as well as 20th-century rhythmic techniques. Advanced melodic and harmonic dictation. Sight singing and keyboard assignments.
Prerequisite Required: MUSC& 242  or permission of instructor.
