HIIM 234 Professional Practice Experience & RHIT Exam Prep

Maximum Units: 4
Experience performing CAHIIM-required health information technology (HIT) competencies. This practice may be conducted in a wide range of healthcare settings and is a non-paid, laboratory experience. Students also prepare to take the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam. Note: HIIM 233 must be completed within six months of taking HIIM 234.
Prerequisite Required: Completion with a grade of 2.0 or higher in HIIM 219 , HIIM 225 , HIIM 228 , and HIIM 233 . Completion of HIIM 220 and HIIM 226 or concurrent enrollment. HIIM advisor permission required.
