BUS 108 Tech & Web Essentials Minimum Units: 5 Maximum Units: 5 Provides an overview of personal and business digital tools in a Windows-based environment. Students will learn the basics of OS-based utilities, data storage systems, Microsoft Office 365 applications, email management, data privacy and security concepts, information integrity issues, and business technology practices. Course projects include creating/modifying word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation documents; creation of file organization and email management plans; researching data privacy and cybersecurity practices; and evaluating and using online resources to solve problems independently. Previously: BUSTC 105 Prerequisite Required: Completion of ENGL 99 or equivalent with a 2.0 or higher, or placement into ENGL& 101 or equivalent, or instructor permission.
