MLT 121 Essentials of Phlebotomy
Minimum Units: 3
Maximum Units: 3
Lecture and laboratory classes. Includes role of the phlebotomist, safety, infection control, phlebotomy technique, equipment, and specimen processing. Practice performing capillary and venipuncture techniques.
Prerequisite Required: ENGL 99 with a grade of 2.0 or higher, or equivalent, or placement into ENGL& 101 . Acceptance into the Phlebotomy Program or instructor permission.
