ENGL& 244 American Literature I

Maximum Units: 5
Students explore American literature thematically and examine how it reflects and shapes literary, political, historical, and cultural developments. Each course will focus on a particular theme. Possible themes are: protest, war, the Harlem Renaissance, immigration, or American Dreams.
Prerequisite Required: Completion of ENGL 99 or equivalent with a 2.0 or higher, or placement into ENGL& 101 .
