MUSTC 106 Acoustics of Music

Maximum Units: 5
Students are introduced to the acoustical properties of sound and music. The course begins with an introduction to simple vibrating systems, wave and wave propagation and progress and goes through the reception of sound, frequency and pitch to auditorium and room acoustics.
Prerequisite Required: Successful completion (2.0 or better) or placement into MATH 99 .
