Welcome Bienvenidos, እንኳን ደኽና መጣህ/ሽ, 欢迎 
Whether this is your first quarter, or you are a continuing student, we want to officially welcome you to your community college. I say “your” community college because I want to remind you that you belong here and that we are here to ensure your success. We are so fortunate to have you with us and in such a diverse community at Shoreline. Our students speak multiple languages, have various interests and strengths, come from diverse places and all have one common purpose: To learn, develop and be equipped with new skills to live within a complex and ever-changing world.
Change Cambio መለወጥ 改变
It probably sounds a little old-fashioned, but I can tell you first hand that college will change your life. I was the first person in my family to complete a bachelor’s degree. And not only did that degree (and the degrees that followed) open doors for me and my family, the experiences helped change who I am as a person. As you take classes at Shoreline, you will meet dedicated faculty with expertise in everything from automotive to film production to nursing, biotechnology (and more!). You will have experiences in the classroom that not only provide you with new knowledge, but will help you think critically and learn about yourself and the community in the process. You will work with staff who want to help you get every question that you have answered and ensure you are on the right path. You will also meet other students who will inspire you on the athletic field, move you during a concert performance, impress you in an engineering course and become some of the best friends you will ever have.
Transitions Transiciones ሽግግሮች 过渡
The last few years have been difficult to say the least. We have seen changes in our world we thought we would never see. As our community has been returning from the overall impact of COVID-19, we are re-establishing old relationships and practices we had before the pandemic. We have also learned a lot about new ways to serve our community. As we are transitioning and integrating processes this year, we will help you transition to the next phase of your life and career.

Through these changes and transitions we are here to support you. Shoreline Community College faculty and staff want nothing more than for you to reach your goals. We cannot wait to see all the wonderful things you will do this year and beyond.
