MATH 211 Elements of Statistical Method Minimum Units: 5 Maximum Units: 5 Elements of good sampling techniques, data collection, and study design. Descriptive statistics including correlation and regression. Elementary probability, random variables, and basic probability distributions. Statistical inference with confidence intervals, z-tests, t-tests, and chi-square tests. Experience with computer software. Prerequisite Required: MATH& 148 (2.0 or better) or MATH& 151 (2.0 or better) AND placement into ENGL 99 or EAP 99 .
