HIIM 225 Health Informatics Essentials

Minimum Units: 5
Maximum Units: 5
Intro to health informatics; how information is processed, technology and applications uses, including electronic health records; system architecture, selection and implementation; health information exchange and interoperability; data analytics and decision support. HIIM 120  with a 2.0 or higher recommended.
Prerequisite Required: Completion of HIIM 125  with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
