GEOL 107 Geologic Hazards

An in-depth examination of the geologic hazards of the Pacific Northwest. Topics include: earthquakes, volcanoes & landslides, both globally and regionally. Emphasis will be on the science of these phenomena, effects on human populations, prediction, preparation & mitigation of the risk, & case studies.
Prerequisite Required: Completion of EAP 99  or ENGL 99  with a 2.0 or better or placement into ENGL& 101 .
