HIST 234 Ancient History Credits: 5 An introduction to the history of the ancient Near East, Greece and Rome (Republic and Empire). The course examines political, economic, and social institutions and activities, including religious life and the cultural achievements of the great ancient civilizations. Mandatory decimal grading. Prerequisite Recommended: ENGL& 101 with a 2.0 or better (may be taken concurrently) When Typically Offered: Summer, Fall, Spring
