HIIM 172 Outpatient Coding
Credits: 5
Instruction and practice in coding outpatient patient health records using CPT and HCPCS coding systems. Ethical and legal coding practices addressed. Reimbursement methodologies related to APCs and RBRVS identified. Mandatory decimal grading.
Prerequisite Required: Completion with a grade of 2.0 or higher - HIIM 171 or concurrent enrollment. HIIM Advisor permission required.
