MUSTC 180 Audio for Interactive Media - I Minimum Units: 3 Maximum Units: 3 Students learn various techniques and processes used for the integration of music and audio to video games and other interactive media. Students gain familiarity with the terminology and basic concepts of audio for gaming. Prerequisite Required: MUSTC 151 with a grade of P or 2.0 or better, or instructor permission. - Describe and use vocabulary related to audio systems of video game engines and identify various forms of adaptive media.
- Identify audio properties of objects in game world 3D space.
- Describe and use methods of implementing sound and music in video game context.
- Demonstrate practical ability to integrate SFX and music examples into a game engine and create game mix.
