MUSTC 243 Tech Music Theory 6

Application of music theory concepts to contemporary music. Advanced ear training, harmony, rhythm, and melody are examined. The course is designed primarily for students enrolled in the Music Technology Program.
Prerequisite Required: MUSTC 242  with a grade of P or 2.0 or better, or instructor permission.

Course Learning Outcomes:
  • Identify seventh chord extensions and alteration.
  • Identify mistakes on a recording session.
  • Aurally identify common chord progressions.
