This course examines the economic and social development beginning in Africa, throughout the diaspora, with specific reference to the slave experience in the United States. Emphasis is upon the cultural, political, and economic development of America from an African American perspective. IASTU 246
Prerequisite Required: Completion of ENGL 99 or equivalent with a 2.0 or better, or placement into ENGL& 101 .
