Program Description


Business Intelligence provides the information required to enhance business decision-making; whereas, Data Analytics is the process of converting raw data into meaningful information. Together, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics are becoming critical factors in the overall success and stability of top companies around the world - both public and private.

The Business Intelligence and Data Analytics (BIDA) AA degree focuses on providing graduates in-depth knowledge and teaching them the necessary skills to sole today’s business problems in order to prepare for tomorrow’s opportunities. The degree provides graduates a strong foundation in principles and theories of data, reporting, visualizations, analytics, project development, and data-driven decision-making skills. Upon completion, graduates will be familiar with cutting-edge technologies and possess skills and experience with practical business applications that enable businesses to recognize opportunities for improvement and enable them to sustain a competitive advantage.

This program emphasizes project management, technical learning, systems thinking along with a robust technology-focused curriculum including coursework in business intelligence, data mining, analytics, reporting, and programming languages R and Python.

AAAS Degree (94-99 Credits)

Program Prerequisites


Intermediate Excel or Instructor permission. Placement into BTWRT 215  or ENGL& 101 , MATH& 146 , and BUSTC 265 .
