An introduction to the history of the ancient Near East, Greece and Rome (Republic and Empire). The course examines political, economic, and social institutions and activities, including religious life and the cultural achievements of the great ancient civilizations. ENGL& 101 with a 2.0 or better is recommended (may be taken concurrently).
