Survey of western civilization from the thirteenth century to early nineteenth century with emphasis on the Renaissance, the Reformation, the rise and fall of absolute monarchs, the Scientific Revolution, the Enlightenment, the French Revolution, and the rise and fall of Napoleon. ENGL& 101 with a 2.0 or better is recommended (may be taken concurrently).
