PSYC 230 Multicultural Psychology Minimum Units: 5 Maximum Units: 5 Focuses on how sociocultural contexts influence psychological processes. We will develop awareness, knowledge, skills and advocacy tools to increase multicultural competence. Negative effects of oppression on mental health and well-being and strategies for inclusive counseling, research, and policy will be covered. Prerequisite Required: PSYC& 100 with 2.0 or better.
