MLT 224 Clinical Microbiology Lecture

Maximum Units: 5
Basic theory of clinical microbiology including disease states, clinical procedures used to isolate and identify bacterial organisms, blood and tissue parasites, systemic and subcutaneous fungi. Emphasis is placed on media selection and interpretation of result diagnostic tests.
Prerequisite Required: BIOL& 260 with a grade of 2.0 or better; admission into the MLT program.
