ESLC 50 ESL for College and Career 5 Minimum Units: 10 Maximum Units: 10 ESLC 50 is the fifth course in a series that prepares students to use English in college and career by building reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. ESLC 50 begins to prepare students to advance to pre-college courses and professional/technical training. Students read and listen to a range of texts in order to contribute ideas to discussions, develop opinions, and write paragraphs. Prerequisite: Completion of ESLC 40 with Pass or appropriate placement on the Shoreline ESL placement test.
