ENGL 272 Beginning Poetry Writing II

Minimum Units: 5
Maximum Units: 5
Students expand their verse-writing skills by further exploring such poetic techniques as traditional or ‘closed’ form, free verse, syllabics and the prose poem. Students learn how to read their poems aloud, how to get the most out of workshop and how to format and submit manuscripts for publication.
Prerequisite Required: ENGL 271  or instructor permission.
