Course Learning Outcomes:
  • Demonstrate digital audio workstation (DAW) use for static and dynamic sound design.
  • Utilize synchronization techniques.
  • Demonstrate layered, additive and manipulative sound design practices.
  • Utilize signal generation to approximate specific sounds such as surf, bells, and imaginary objects.
  • Demonstrate object-oriented programming of third-party software used in the video game industry.
  • Listen and respond to sound design productions generated by DAWs and discuss their related aesthetics in a group and in individualized settings.
