Develop the skills to create a comprehensive, professional business plan for a new or existing venture. Conduct a feasibility analysis, determine form of ownership, design finance and marketing plans and examine key aspects of small business management.

- Identify problems and engage in problem-solving activities related to various business situations.
- Explain the necessary qualities and characteristics of the successful entrepreneur.
- Identify and describe the steps necessary to open and operate a small business venture.
- Compare and contrast the basic forms of small business ownership.
- Create a detailed business plan with all of the related components for a new or existing small business venture.
- Demonstrate cooperation and teamwork in relating to and working with others.
- Demonstrate ability to employ basic research methods and apply current technologies to retrieve, evaluate and use information.
