Courses that Meet Transfer Degree Requirements
You will find a list of all courses that students can take to meet the requirements for transfer and specialized degrees at Shoreline Community College below. These degrees include the Associate in Arts Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) and Major Related Programs (MRPs), Associate of Science (AS-T) Tracks 1 and 2 and MRPs, Associate of Fine Arts (AFA), and Associate in Music (AM).
The number of credits required for each degree varies, and some degrees require specific courses to be completed. Credits for a specific course can only be used once and cannot be applied to more than one Distribution Area.
Course numbers with an ampersand (‘&’) are considered equivalent and transferable between member colleges of the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC).

General Electives
General Electives can include any course listed in the Distribution Areas or the ones specified below. Courses numbered below 100, as well as developmental courses, cannot be used to meet requirements for General Electives. However, up to 15 credits from Restricted Electives and a maximum of 3 credits in Physical Education can be used to meet this requirement.
